Slough Creek Pack Den Site

This pack's main den is right next to the water- so wolves don't have to go anywehere to get a drink. They take shelter under a fallen tree; two dens are carved under its thick trunk. One is for the nursing she-wolves, which is smaller and cozier. The soft, earthy floor is padded with grass and crumpled leaves. The earthy smell coupled with the scent of milk is one of a Slough Creek wolf's sweetest memory.

The other den is for sick wolves, that can't take the cold wind. Branches and leaves line the floor, providing some comfort to ill wolves. The other members rest next to the canopy of the fallen tree, relaxing in a patch of up-turned earth. It is a refreshing place, and many wolves are lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves.
